Dr. Calloway made a decision after leaving the pastorate in 2013 at age 40 to no longer live and preach based on inherited religious beliefs. He decided to go on his own spiritual journey and investigate and discover “organic spirituality” without religious interference. He made that discovery and shares his experiences through this framework of progressive spirituality that has changed the course of his spiritual journey and ministry he calls Deeper Awareness. He takes the religious lenses off on how he reads and views the bible, spirituality, racism and politics and focuses on preaching and teaching the Christological pillars of love, compassion, forgiveness, mercy, and grace.
